Recently, the reporter learned from Guangxi Power Grid Company of China Southern Power Grid that this year, Guangxi overcame the dual pressure of long-term power supply shortage and phased consumption difficulties, and consumed 71.94 billion kwh of clean energy in total from January to September, so as to achieve "zero waste of water, wind and light".
In the first three quarters of this year, the total power generation of clean energy such as wind power, photovoltaic, biomass and nuclear power in Guangxi hit a record high. Among them, the power generation of wind power, photovoltaic and biomass increased by 60.4%, 80% and 23.2% respectively year-on-year. Guangxi fully consumes hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic, biomass power and nuclear power, accounting for nearly 47.3% of non fossil energy, which is equivalent to 1 kwh of clean energy for every 2 kwh in Guangxi.
It is reported that the situation of clean energy consumption in Guangxi this year is more severe and complex, especially heavy rainfall and windy weather, which has caused great pressure on clean energy consumption. During the flood season this year, the water from all river basins in the region was seriously dry by 50%. Through scientific and lean dispatching, Guangxi Power Grid Corporation used the heavy rainfall at the end of June to tap the potential and increase efficiency in power supply capacity, so as to achieve the dual goal of full consumption and maximum utilization of clean energy. Relying on the comprehensive meteorological information system of Guangxi power grid, the advanced application decision support system of water dispatching automation and the comprehensive management platform of new energy dispatching, the observability, measurability and controllability of more than 2000 rainfall stations and more than 200 large and medium-sized hydropower plants, wind farms and photovoltaic power stations in the region are realized, so as to provide strong information support for the full consumption of clean energy and new energy.
